Interesting article in the online WSJ denouncing white marble countertops as THE thing...
Not going to disagree... it is a bit overdone. Look at the sophistication & charm of the above {pretty perfect} kitchen... a sleek countertop is mixed in with traditional moldings, antique chandelier and rustic floors/table. It's different... and different is good in my book.
What do you think?
Funnily enough, I am at the moment planning a kitchen with a copper (or zinc if I turn out not to be able to afford copper) island. My architect urges marble, my heart urges metal. Thanks so much for this article - very timely for me!
